I am a Christian. I am a South African.

If you're still reading, then I am glad . I grew up in a tight-knit community in KwaZulu-Natal, where I went to school, and lived a generally unremarkable life, thanks to my faithful parents. Thanks also to their guidence and care, I was surrounded and guided from the beginning of my life by the Word of God. I also have the best brother and sister.

Having finished school, I went to the University of Pretoria, where I completed a BA degree in Ancient Languages and Cultures, specialising in Ancient Greek (Koine), Ancient Hebrew, and Classical Latin. I also abused a lot of my resources and time to begin my own personal study of Germanic languages, in an attempt to better understand my own heritage, and the world from which I came, before my ancestors moved to South Africa. I have been heavily influenced by Tolkien, and I began to realise, in turn, that he had drawn a lot on the Germanic roots of England.

Due to the power that stories had over me since an early age, especially those of Tolkien, I always automatically was drawn into the orbit of honing my craft as a writer, and of understanding the lanuage of story Himself. Here on DeviantArt, I just seek to share what of my craft I am grateful to have completed, and to bring awareness of my work to those that are willing to spend their time amidst it; for better or for worse . That depends to a large degree on what you will do with it.
